Going from Concept to Design to Fabrication

Conceptual design is one thing, getting to the completed product involves several steps. The typical workflow starts with a concept, then engineering, prototyping, testing, and finally high volume manufacturing. Just because a product solution was pitched as a concept it does not mean it can be manufactured as originally intended.
Fabricated Designs starts with the concept and provides necessary engineering design. Engineering design will break down the product requirements and translate them into design details. Product details are refined during engineering design through FEA, tolerance analysis, industrial standards, and manufacturing methods. The engineering phase of the project often requires collaborative effort to complete drawing packages and digital design files for prototyping.

The design prototype phase can become an iterative process. By focusing on engineering design and CAD techniques we work towards a goal of minimizing design iterations in during prototype and testing phases.

The final product we provide at Fabricated Designs is your production drawing package.

A production drawing package is a complete set of drawings and detailed manufacturing plans that will enable your product to be mass manufactured anywhere in the world.
